Even before I, Akshita Badkundri could complete my 10th std exam, we were in the lockdown situation due to COVID-19. With a lot of time on hand, I started looking at effective ways to keep in touch with my friends. I thought of creating a group where we learn things that interest us and would be of immediate use to us, like - understanding of various professional streams, leadership fundamentals, life lessons and more as we discover on our way forward on this platform. With this thought I initiated the TSSN platform with the support and guidance of my sister Asawari Badkundri.
Making the Idea a Reality-
The beginning definitely matters. The strength of various social platforms helped me reach not only to my immediate friends but to a larger student community. The overwhelming response from the attendees for the initial sessions was encouraging and the guidance that I started getting from some accomplished professionals was like the cherry on the cake. I hope I continue getting such support in the journey ahead, as I just got started and know the path is long
Experience as of now-
It's not been very long since the start of TSSN and the platform has already hosted speakers from a variety of fields. Our esteemed speakers have provided students valuable insights, given them helpful anecdotes and have given students advice based on their personal experiences. The response for each session till now has been very overwhelming and has continued to grow stronger session to session. The entire team of TSSN has tried to make the platform as relevant as possible to all students and slowly, but steadily, we're getting there. We have been getting extremely satisfying reviews from all attendees which has made us more driven to work towards making the platform relevant to all.
Fortunate to get guidance from Dr. Santosh Dixit, a senior scientist, Centre for Translational Cancer Research at IISER and my parents, Aparna and Anant Badkundri.
